Relationships between Leadership Styles and Prosocial Motivation Depend on Cultural Values: A Case Study in Sri Lanka

Organizations are increasingly concerned about their social and environmental responsibilities interested in developing strategies to improve performance accountability these areas. One such strategy focuses on leadership styles, by which leaders selected or trained address the needs of people entities outside themselves (i.e., stakeholders), subsequently inspire followers do same. Implicit this is an assumption that a new type required achieve responsibility goals. In study, we offer different perspective proposing may only need be encouraged emphasize some aspects existing while minimizing use others. We focus our study Asia, where paternal style prevalent, often expected followers.
